Rankine Cycle Low Temperature Power Generation
The research base of the Athens Agricultural University is a project funded by the European Union, the purpose of which is to study the potential of generating electricity using low-temperature solar thermal energy. The heat of 80°C is supplied to the organic Rankine cycle turbine system to generate electricity. After the installation of this base was completed, several successful experimental cases have been carried out. The system also confirmed that the medium-temperature waste heat from the solar process can be used.
